Terms and Conditions of Use
These Terms and Conditions of Use (the "Terms") govern the use of the website www.inversionmeridiana.com and of the services that Meridiana makes available to users through it, in particular information requests, newsletter subscription and registration for trade fairs and events.
These Terms are supplemented by the Legal Notice, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
1. Acceptance
Use of the Website and of any of its services implies express acceptance of these Terms in the version published at any given time. If you do not accept them, you must refrain from using the Website and its services.
Where registering for or using a particular service requires ticking an acceptance box, doing so constitutes evidence of acceptance of these Terms.
2. User status
The user declares that they are of legal age and have sufficient legal capacity to use the Website and its services. The Website is not directed at minors.
The user undertakes to provide truthful, accurate and up-to-date information in the Website forms and to keep it updated, and is solely responsible for any false or inaccurate statements and for any harm they cause to Meridiana or third parties.
3. Proper use of the Website
The user undertakes not to use the Website or its services to:
- carry out unlawful activities or activities contrary to good faith, public order or these Terms;
- introduce or spread computer viruses or any other physical or logical system capable of causing damage;
- attempt to access, use or manipulate the data of Meridiana, of third-party providers or of other users;
- reproduce, copy, distribute or make content available to third parties without authorisation;
- obtain or attempt to obtain information from the Website by means other than those made available to the user, including automated data extraction (scraping);
- impersonate another user or a third party.
4. Registration for trade fairs and events
4.1. Registration request
Registration for a trade fair or event is completed by filling in the relevant form. Registration is deemed requested when the user submits it and confirmed when Meridiana sends the confirmation email. Meridiana may reject incomplete or duplicate registrations or registrations that do not meet the event requirements.
4.2. Tickets, accreditations and digital passes
Tickets, accreditations and digital passes (including those added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet) are personal, named and non-transferable. Meridiana may request an identity document to verify the attendee's identity at the event entrance.
4.3. Cancellations and changes
If you are unable to attend, please notify us through the means indicated in the confirmation email. Meridiana may change the date, time, venue, programme or speakers of an event for organisational reasons or force majeure, informing registered attendees as far in advance as possible. Meridiana may cancel an event, in which case it will inform registered attendees.
4.4. Co-organisers and partners
Certain trade fairs and events are organised together with co-organisers or official partners. In those cases, and provided the user has given specific consent at the time of registration, their data may be shared with those entities to manage their participation, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4.5. Recordings and images at events
Photographs and recordings may be taken at in-person events for information purposes and to publicise Meridiana's activity. Information about this processing and about how to object will be provided at the event itself and in the Privacy Policy.
4.6. Right of admission and venue rules
Access to events is subject to the right of admission and to compliance with venue rules and the instructions of the organising staff. Meridiana may refuse access to, or remove from the event, anyone who breaches those rules or behaves in a way that disrupts the event.
6. User content and contributions
When the user sends comments, suggestions or other content through the Website or by email, they warrant that they hold the necessary rights to do so and grant Meridiana a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use that content in order to handle their communication and improve services. The user shall refrain from sending unlawful or offensive content or content that infringes third-party rights.
7. Intellectual and industrial property
The "Intellectual and industrial property" clause of the Legal Notice applies.
8. Service availability and liability
Meridiana does not guarantee the continuous availability and operation of the Website and its services. Where reasonably possible, it will give prior notice of interruptions. Meridiana shall be liable only for damage the user may suffer as a result of using the Website where such damage is attributable to Meridiana's wilful misconduct or gross negligence; liability for indirect damage or loss of profit is excluded to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights granted to consumer users by consumer protection legislation.
9. Data protection
The processing of personal data provided under these Terms is governed by the Privacy Policy.
10. Term and amendment
These Terms remain in force for as long as they are accessible on the Website. Meridiana may amend them to reflect legislative or case-law developments or changes to its services. The applicable version is the one published at the time the user accesses the Website or uses the relevant service.
11. Severability
If any clause of these Terms is declared null or ineffective, that declaration shall not affect the validity of the remaining clauses, which shall remain fully applicable.
12. Governing law, jurisdiction and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. As regards jurisdiction, the corresponding clause of the Legal Notice applies.
If the user is a consumer, they may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform, available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
