SITL 2026: a record edition for Iberia in a transforming logistics landscape
After three intense days in Paris, SITL 2026 comes to a close, once again confirming its role as one of the most relevant meeting points for the transport and logistics industry at an international level.
Held in a context marked by geopolitical uncertainty, rising energy costs and increasing operational complexity, this year’s edition has demonstrated the sector’s ability to adapt, evolve and respond to new challenges.
Bringing together more than 27,000 professionals, 585 exhibitors and over 3,400 business meetings, SITL continues to position itself not only as a showcase of solutions, but as a space where strategic decisions, innovation and real business converge.
Key figures: Iberia at SITL 2026
Within this global framework, the Iberian presence has reached a new milestone, reinforcing its growing role within the international logistics ecosystem.
The 2026 edition brought together 22 exhibitors from Spain and Portugal, representing a +70% increase compared to the previous year, alongside close to 700 sqm of exhibition space, significantly expanding the Iberian footprint across the show.
Spain ranked as the third most represented country at the exhibition, underlining the strength and international projection of its logistics ecosystem.
Beyond the numbers, this growth reflects a clear evolution in the positioning of Iberian companies, which are increasingly mature and strategic, with strong visibility across the halls and active involvement in meetings, presentations and industry discussions.

Iberia within a transforming sector
The key challenges shaping the global logistics industry, ranging from supply chain disruptions to energy pressures and geopolitical tensions, were clearly reflected in the positioning of Iberian companies.
In this context, Spanish and Portuguese exhibitors showed strong alignment with the sector’s main priorities, focusing on efficiency, resilience and adaptability. Their participation went beyond showcasing solutions, actively engaging with international partners and contributing to the conversations defining the future of logistics.
Under the central theme “New territories to conquer”, SITL 2026 structured its programme around a set of strategic topics that defined the direction of the industry.

These themes were directly reflected in the approach and positioning of Iberian companies:
- The energy transition, driving the need for more sustainable logistics models
- The growing importance of resilience and defence logistics, particularly in complex and high-demand environments
- The role of multimodality, improving connectivity and efficiency across transport networks
- The acceleration of digitalisation, automation and data-driven decision-making
Iberian companies have actively aligned with these priorities, contributing to discussions and presenting capabilities that respond to both immediate operational needs and long-term transformation.
From presence to positioning
One of the most significant shifts observed during this edition has been the evolution of Iberia’s role within SITL.
Beyond the increase in participation, companies demonstrated a more strategic approach, focused on generating value, building meaningful relationships and identifying concrete opportunities.
The high number of meetings held during the event reflects this dynamic, with many first contacts evolving into more advanced conversations in a short period of time, a clear sign of the maturity and competitiveness of the Iberian ecosystem.
Innovation driven by real needs
Innovation at SITL 2026 has clearly moved beyond concept and into application.
The Métamorphose Center, at the heart of the exhibition, brought together conferences, collaborative sessions and live demonstrations designed to move from insight to implementation.
In this context, several key trends have defined the direction of the sector:
- The growing adoption of AI and automation across logistics operations
- The increasing importance of data, interoperability and real-time visibility
- The development of hybrid operational models, combining human expertise with technological solutions
- The transformation of logistics infrastructure into more flexible and sustainable assets
These trends are closely aligned with the capabilities and developments of Iberian companies, reinforcing their role as active contributors to the transformation of the sector.

An ecosystem in motion
Beyond innovation and strategy, SITL remains, above all, a place for connection.
Throughout the three days, the exhibition halls have been defined by a constant flow of meetings, exchanges and interactions. This dynamic environment has allowed companies to strengthen existing relationships while opening the door to new opportunities.
For the Iberian ecosystem, this has translated into a stronger sense of connection, collaboration and shared positioning within the international logistics landscape.

Iberia consolidates its position
SITL 2026 confirms a clear trend: Iberia is not only increasing its presence, but also consolidating its position as a relevant and competitive player in the international logistics landscape.
Spanish and Portuguese companies are increasingly active participants in the conversations shaping the future of the sector, positioning themselves as reliable partners for global collaboration.
This edition is not just a milestone, it is a reflection of a broader evolution. An evolution that continues.
